    There are three positions to mount a load-bearing screw on both sides of a switch. You should select a proper position according to the actual requirements. The rear mounting brackets tightly contacted with the load-bearing screws can support the switch. Mounting the switch on a workbench In many cases, standard 19-inch racks are not available.

    Connecting the grounding cable Figure 2-4 Connecting the grounding cable Use the PGND cable provided with the switch to connect the grounding strip in the equipment room. Otherwise, the grounding effect may not be ensured, which easily causes damage to the switch.

    Connect the power cable to the switch first and then to the power supply system to avoid bodily injury. You can use only the RPS power supply recommended by H3C (optional RPS power supply and power cable) for RPS input.

  • Page 14 Do not touch the electronic components on an interface card to avoid damaging the interface card. After removing an interface card, install a blank panel to the empty slot to prevent dust from entering the switch. If there is a ”DO NOT REMOVE” label on the rear panel, the switch does not support interface cards.
