Operating the climate control system

c Directs the airflow through the foot-
well and side air vents
O Directs the airflow through the foot-
well and side air vents

and side air vents
P Directs the airflow through the centre

Rear control panel
M Directs the airflow through the rear-
compartment air vents
O Directs the airflow through the foot-
well air vents

Using the rear control panel, you can also
activate both air distribution positions
simultaneously. In order to do this, press
both air distribution buttons. The air is then
routed through all rear air vents.
Adjusting
X
Turn the key to position 2 in the ignition
lock.

Press the Z, M, ¯, c, O,
\ or P button.
Setting the airflow
X
Turn the key to position 2 in the ignition
lock.

To increase: press the K button.
X
To reduce: press the I button.
Vehicles with LINGUATRONIC: when LINGUA-
TRONIC is switched on, the airflow is restric-
ted to 50%. When command input is com-
plete, the airflow is adjusted back to the pre-
vious setting.

You can use THERMOTRONIC automatic
climate control to set the airflow in the rear
compartment separately.

Switching the MONO function on/off
The MONO function is only available with
THERMOTRONIC automatic climate control
You can use the MONO function to adopt the
settings configured for temperature, air dis-
tribution and airflow on the driver's side for
the front-passenger side and the rear com-
partment.

Press the º button.
The indicator lamp in the º button lights
up or goes out.

Demisting the windscreen

You can use this function to demist the wind-
screen or to demist the inside of the wind-
screen and the side windows.
Switch off the "demisting" function as soon
as the windscreen is clear again.

Turn the key to position 2 in the ignition
lock.
X
To activate: press the ¬ button.
The indicator lamp in the ¬ button lights
up.
The climate control system switches to the
following functions:
cooling with air dehumidification on
R
high airflow (depending on the outside
R
temperature)
high temperature (depending on the out-
R
side temperature)
air distribution to the windscreen and
R
front side windows
air-recirculation mode off
R
X
To deactivate: press the ¬ button.
The indicator lamp in the ¬ button goes
out. The previous settings are reactivated.
The cooling with air dehumidification func-
tion remains on. Air-recirculation mode
remains deactivated.
