Step 4 – Splice the Wire Ends Together
Twist the wire strands as follows:
a) Align the
strands of
stripped wires
(from the
sensor and from
the sleeve) such
that all strands
are parallel.
b) Carefully twist
the strands
together.
c) Ensure that there are no loose strands to poke through the
sleeve.
Cover the twisted wires with the solder sleeve as follows:
a) Slide the solder
sleeve over the
twisted wires.
b) Center the internal
solder over the
twisted wires and
ensure that the
glue ring at either
end of the solder
sleeve is
surrounding the
insulation beyond
the stripped wires.
