NATURAL GAS PILOT INJECTOR
This conversion kit shall be installed by a qualifi ed service agency in accordance with the
manufacturer's instructions and all applicable codes and requirements of the authority having
jurisdiction. If the information in these instructions is not followed exactly, a fi re, explosion
or production of carbon monoxide may result causing property damage, personal injury or
loss of life. The qualifi ed service agency is responsible for the proper installation of this kit.
The installation is not proper and complete until the operation of the converted appliance is
checked as specifi ed in the owner instructions supplied with the kit.
WARNING: Failure to position the parts in accordance with these
diagrams or failure to use only parts specifi cally approved with this
appliance may result in property damage or personal injury.
CAUTION: Before proceeding with conversion the gas supply must be
shut off prior to disconnecting the electrical power.
1. Remove the door and glass media from the fi replace. Refer to the
FINISHING section of your installation manual for instructions.
2. Remove the 21 screws that secure the front media tray in place. Remove
the 22 screws that secure the rear media tray in place. Lift both trays
out. Remove (3) burner screens (4 screws each) and note the order of
placement.

3. Remove all three burners (8 screws total).

4. Remove the 2 screws securing the pilot assembly for easier
access and remove the 2 front screws on each of 3 circular Venturi
screens and bend upward to access the orifi ces.
5. Using a deep socket wrench, remove the 3 orifi ces. Using pipe
thread compound, replace with the orifi ce supplied. Replace the
Venturi screens and the pilot assembly.
6. Remove the pilot hood from the pilot
assembly by pulling vertically. Use a

/ " Allen key to unscrew the injector.

Replace the pilot injector with the
one supplied. Re-assemble the pilot
hood onto the assembly ensuring
key position for proper alignment.
7. Adjust the air shutter according to
the table located on the back of this
page and replace burners.
8. To convert the main valve to the
desired fuel, follow the leafl et for the
SIT step motor assembly that is indicated with this kit.
9. The conversion data label must be fi lled out and attached
adjacent to the valve.
10. Turn on the gas supply and check for gas leaks by brushing on
a soap and water solution.
Do not use open fl ame.
