Gearcase Lubricant

With outboard vertical, check the gearcase lubri-
cant level:
Inspect the lubricant level in the lubricant reser-
voir.
Lubricant reservoir 150 – 200 HP Models

Add HPF PRO gearcase lubricant if needed.

2-Stroke Engine Oil Level

Place the outboard to the vertical position to fill, or
check oil level. Make sure the on-board oil tank
contains an adequate supply of the correct lubri-
cant for the outboard. Refer to Recommended
Lubricants on p. 85.

Trim and Tilt Fluid

CAUTION
Correct fluid level must be maintained to
ensure operation of the impact protection
built into the unit.
The trim and tilt system is filled, tested and sealed
at the factory. It is NOT necessary to check fluid
level.
Check the fluid level ONLY if the trim and tilt is
NOT operating normally.
Refer to the Evinrude E-TEC G2 Service Manual
for the correct method of checking fluid level.
