IR REMOTE CONTROL

You can operate the KD-MSW8X3 using the supplied infrared (IR) remote
control.
Press R2 and then two digits on the IR remote control to perform the desired
input and output switching function. The first digit you enter corresponds to the
desired video/ audio output (1, 2, and 3). The second digit you enter will be the
desired input (1...8).
For example if you wish to connect a DVD player from Input 5 to Output 2, you
would depress keys R2, 2, 5 in that order. When R2 is pressed al three blue input
LED indicators on the front panel of the KD-MSW8X3 will blink. When the first
numeric key had been pressed it select the desired video/ audio output, just the
blue LED input indicator input for that output will blink. If you prefer you can also
use the "^" and "v" keys on the IR remote control to step through and select input
channels once an output channel has been selected with a numeric key.

R2 OPTIONAL MODE

The KD-MSW8X3 has been set up for use where there may be other Key Digital
equipment nearby which uses the same IR remote control. For this reason the
R2 key must be pressed first before the KD-MSW8X3 will respond to a
command. This is designed to prevent it from responding to commands meant for
other equipment. If you do not have other Key Digital equipment nearby, if you
wish, you can set up the KD-MSW8X3 to no longer require all commands to be
started with key R2. You do this by pressing key R3 for 5 seconds. When you
press R3 all the blue LED input indicators on the KD-MSW8X3 front panel will
blink. Keep pressing R3 until they stop blinking. You now can control the KD-
MSW8X3 without having to press R2 first. If you want to go back to the mode
where you must press R2 first, press R3 again for 5 seconds.
Even if you are in the "R2 optional" mode, you can still press R2 first if you wish.
This means that you do not have to change the programming of any universal
remote e.g. "Pronto" that you may be using.

MULTIPLE UNIT MODE

rear panel four position "DIP" switch. The instructions for doing this are printed on
