Operating Manual Safety aspects As the user, extend the safety instructions with generally applicable, legal and other measures that ensure a safe and environmentally friendly operation of the attachment. Operating Manual Design Slides and arms The lower slide consists of an arm (2) welded to a profile (1). There is a pressure plate (3) in the arm (2) with a floating mounting. The upper slide consists of a profile (4) and an arm retainer (5), in which the arm (6) and pressure plate (7) are mounted. -

Checking out KAUP-attachments are delivered pre-lubricated. If the attachment has been in storage for a longer period, we recommend that it be lubricated again before being placed in service. -

Operating Manual 4.2.2 Adjustment after putting into service The hydraulic system is under pressure. During work on hydraulic components oil spurting out can cause injuries. Unload the system in accordance with the operating instructions of the lift truck manufacturer. In the case of injuries caused by high pressure oil, inform the works physician and seek out a specialist immediately. -

Operating Manual Load handling Select the diameter range of the clamp by adjusting the short clamping arm at a 45° angle to the rotator. Set the arms to the greatest possible width of the load. Position the mast vertically and take up the load parallel to the floor. Move the roll clamp to the load until the pressure plates and the centre of gravity of the load are diagonal. -

Operating Manual As necessary Renew the worn pressure plates (6, 8) or their linings by demounting the cotter pin (4), washer (15, pin (11 and spring (2). Knock out the bolt (1) sidewards. Replace worn pressure plates and/or linings. Remount the pin (1) and spring (2). Ensure exact positioning of the spring (2) during installation. -
