PART 2: WALL ANCHORING INSTRUCTIONS (FIG. S-U)
NOTICE
Drywall anchors and anchor screws (16) are included with this rack; however, different wall materials
require different types of fasteners. Use fasteners suitable for your specific type of wall. If you are
uncertain about what type of fasteners to use, please contact your local hardware store.
1.
There are two wall mount bracket assemblies (16) to be used to secure the Workbench. One will
be installed on the backside of the crossbeam (4) right above the fold-up drawer (19). The other
one will need to be installed on the backside of the top crossbeam (4).
2.
Take the U-shaped bracket and rock it up at an angle to attach it to the bottom inner channel
of the crossbeam (4). Once attached, the back portion will sit flush against the inside of the
crossbeam (4). (Fig. S)
3.
Once attached, the U-shaped bracket can be moved from side to side [in between the two
safety straps (6)]. This allows for it to be attached to a 2 x 4 in the wall. (Fig. T)
4.
The L-shaped bracket has two sets of four square holes that allow you to adjust the distance of
the rack to the wall. Use two carriage bolts (11) and two 10 mm nuts (12) to attach the L-shaped
bracket to the bottom of the U-shaped bracket. (Fig. U)
WARNING
Serious injury or death can occur from the rack tipping over. To prevent this, the rack must be
secured to a wall, especially in earthquake-prone areas, where surfaces are uneven, and where
children and/or pets are present.
Different wall materials require different types of fasteners. Use fasteners suitable for your
specific type of wall. If you are uncertain about what type of fastener to use, then please contact
your local hardware store.

PART 3: LAMINATE DECK, WIRE GRID, AND LOCKING SHELF PIN
INSTRUCTIONS (FIG. V-X)
NOTICE
Each wire grid (9) consists of two sides – a "short" side and "long" side. If you plan on sliding objects
on and off of the shelf from the front of the rack, then we recommend having the "short" side of the
grid facing upward. If you plan on sliding objects from the side of the rack, then we recommend
having the "long" side facing upward.
The use of a step ladder is recommended for installing components at the top of the Workbench.
1.
It is recommended that a laminated deck (8) is placed on the crossbeams (4) right above the
drawer (19) to serve as a work surface. To install the laminate deck (8), place it on the top ledge
of the crossbeams (4). If seated properly, it will "pop" into place and lay evenly. (Fig. V)
2.
The last laminate deck (8) can be placed on any preferred set of crossbeams (4). The
recommended location is on the top set of crossbeams (4).
3.
To install the wire grid (9), place the wire grid (9) onto the top ridge of a set of crossbeams (4).
If seated properly, the grids will "pop" into place and lay evenly. Install the two wire grids (9) on
the two remaining sets of crossbeams (4).
