VSC is Xtralis bespoke software that configures, commissions and maintains the full range of VESDA by Xtralis fire detection and gas detection product. VSC can configure a single VESDA smoke or gas detector or an entire network and is equipped with additional features that allow faster setup, fault resolution and event diagnostics.
VESDA Aspirated Smoke Detection (ASD) systems; utilising the same 25mm or ¾” BSP air sampling pipe network. The VESDA ECO-EX, with the original VESDA ECO gas detector at its heart, provides a gas detection solution suitable for use in Class 1 Division 2 hazardous area applications.

It is recommended that the installer thoroughly reads all of the installation instructions before beginning the installation of the VESDA ECO-EX. To install the VESDA ECO-EX follow the instructions listed below. Refer to the principle VESDA ECO Product Guide for guidance on the selection of the optimal location for the product in the aspiration network.

The terminal connections and cable specifications for the VESDA ECO-EX are as shown in the standard VESDA ECO Product Guide supplied. The following additional points need to be noted when installing the electrical connections to the VESDA ECO-EX.
The internal RTC backup battery is NOT user replaceable, in the event of a reported failure, replace the Enclosure Lid PCB assembly in its entirety. The VESDA ECO-EX guard MUST be fitted at all times when the product is energized in the Hazardous unless otherwise authorised by the site safety authority.
