Installation Instructions
ENSURE PRINTER IS POWERED OFF AT THE REAR SWITCH BEFORE INSTALLING
Care should be taken to not scratch the top heater element of either the original heated
bed or UP Mini Bed+ against sharp metal surfaces within the printer
When working with the bed upside down inside the printer, place a cloth on top of the
build platform underneath the bed to reduce the risk of accidental damage.
1.
Remove the screws securing the
original heated bed to the build
platform
2.
Gently slide the entire build
platform (not just the bed)
towards the rear of the printer
3.
Carefully slide the original heated
bed towards the front of the
printer and out of the build
platform. Take caution not to
scratch the top of the bed against
the metal tabs of the platform.

  • Page 2 With the bed flipped over, slide the brown tab of the bed FPC connector towards the rear of the bed to release it, allowing the flex cable to easily slide out. On the UP Mini Bed+, open the FPC connector in the same manner as previously.
  • Page 3 Carefully slide the UP Mini Bed+ back into the printer across the top of the spring loaded plastic pins (circled), again taking care not to scratch the top of the bed against the metal rails that secure the bed. Once the bed holes are aligned with the plastic block of the build platform, reinstall the screws.
