Additional Considerations Before Installation

If any part of the antenna system should come in contact with a power line, do not touch it or try to remove it yourself.
Call your local power company. They will remove it safely.
If an accident should occur, call for qualified emergency help immediately.
Additional Considerations Before Installation
This section describes special considerations for preparing the IW6300H access points for installation in Class I, Division
2/Zone 2 hazardous locations.
Note:
This document does not provide specific procedures for installing conduit. You must ensure that your installation
techniques and procedures comply with Class I, Division 2/Zone 2 hazardous location installation regulations for your
geographic location.
Loctite 565 Thread Sealant needs to be applied to the threads prior to the installation, as shown in the following figure
(1). You should also supply certified 1/2" NPT conduit, gland, and adapter for each port used for appropriate installation.

Grounding the Device

Make sure to follow any grounding requirements at your site. The ground lug is supplied with the device.
Warning:
This equipment must be grounded. Never defeat the ground conductor or operate the equipment in the
absence of a suitably installed ground conductor. Contact the appropriate electrical inspection authority or an
electrician if you are uncertain that suitable grounding is available. Statement 1024

This equipment is intended to be grounded to comply with emission and immunity requirements. Ensure
that the switch functional ground lug is connected to earth ground during normal use. Statement 1064

Use size 6-AWG (13.3 mm
The access point must be grounded before connecting power.
In all outdoor installations you must follow these instructions to properly ground the case:
