Maintenance

The Aquascape Automatic Dosing System does not require
much maintenance. It is recommended to make sure that
the clear tubing is kept clear from debris or contaminates.
Aquascape pond water and fountain water treatments are
formulated to help maintain the system properly and also
prevent contamination and debris from forming within the
tubing. The pump should never be lubricated or require
maintenance. The pump is made to be replaced as a
consumable part approximately one time per season.

Troubleshooting

PLEASE NOTE: Aquascape Automatic
Dosing System water treatments have been
specifically formulated to work with the
Aquascape Automatic Dosing System. Using
water treatments not designed for use with the
system may permanently damage the unit and
void the warranty.
PLEASE NOTE: Returned products must
be cleaned, sanitized, or decontaminated,
as necessary prior to shipment so as to
ensure that employees will not be exposed to
health hazards in handling said material. All
applicable laws and regulations shall apply.
IMPORTANT: Aquascape, Inc. is not
responsible for losses, injury, or death
resulting from a failure to observe these
safety precautions, misuse or abuse of
filters, pumps or other equipment.
• The pump does not seem to be pumping the liquid
treatment from the pouch into my pond or fountain.
– Make sure there is power coming to the unit.
– Check to make sure that the check valve is in the
correct orientation.
– Make sure to hold down the X2 dosing button to
prime the system, depending on the length of the tubing
going to your pond or fountain it may take several
minutes for the new treatment to work its way to the
point of application.
– Listen closely you should be able to hear the pump
turning if it's working correctly.
– If it still doesn't work it may be time to replace the
pump cartridge.
• There is no power to the unit
– Check that the transformer is plugged in.
– Try replacing the transformer, please note that the
Aquascape automatic dosing system runs on 12 V.
• The refill bag indicator light does not go on even
though my water treatment pouch is empty
– Try cleaning out the small portion of hard tubing with a
soft pipe cleaner available most hobby stores to ensure
that debris is not creating a false reading.
