Intended use
The operator of the Vitobloc 200 EM-20/39 CHP unit
must observe country-specific legislation and
regulations.
Regulations
Observe the following when working on this system:
all legal instructions regarding the prevention of
accidents,
all legal instructions regarding environmental
protection,
the Code of Practice of relevant trade
associations,
all current safety regulations as defined by DIN,
EN, DVGW, TRGI, TRF, VDE and all locally
applicable standards,
Gas Safety (Installation & Use) Regulations
the appropriate Building Regulation either
the Building regulations, the Building
Regulation (Scotland), Building Regulations
(Northern Ireland),
the Water Fittings Regulation or Water
Bylaws in Scotland,
the current I.E.E. Wiring Regulations.
Target group
This document is intended solely for use by
contractors; see chapter 3.4 Personnel.
This appliance has not been designed to be operated
by individuals (including children) with limited
physical, sensory or mental capacities or who lack the
appropriate experience and/or knowledge, unless they
are supervised by a person responsible for their
safety.
Children must be supervised to ensure that they never
play with the appliance.
Application
The Vitobloc 200 EM-20/39 CHP unit is intended
exclusively for generating 400 V, 50 Hz, three-phase
power and domestic hot water with a temperature
level (flow/return) of 85/65 °C at full load and a
standard temperature spread of 20 K in natural gas
operation.
It is only intended for industrial and commercial
applications.
The heating output of the CHP unit decreases at
heating water return temperatures greater than 30 °C.
Any use that differs from or goes beyond this is
considered inappropriate. The manufacturer rejects all
liability for any losses arising from such inappropriate
use. The operator alone bears the associated risks.
Correct use also includes observance of these
instructions and compliance with the inspection and
servicing terms and conditions.

Incorrect use
All applications deviating from the intended use are
deemed to be impermissible incorrect use. This
includes:
Application areas not listed under "Application".
Use of operating fluids that do not correspond to
the manufacturer's specifications.
Use outside the permissible technical operating
limits.
Use in areas at risk of explosion.
Use outdoors.
Bypassing of safety equipment.
Operation as an emergency generator.
Use only for heat generation if power is not drawn
off simultaneously.
Siting in the same room/air ratio as a boiler
system with atmospheric burner or an NH
refrigeration unit.
EC Declaration of Conformity and Declaration of
Incorporation
This CHP unit is considered a complete machine in
the context of the EC Machinery Directive.
The machine complies with the EC Machinery
Directive. This has been established by means of a
conformity assessment process.
Declaration of Conformity
The Declaration of Conformity is the basis for the
system's CE designation. The CHP unit may only be
operated in accordance with country-specific
legislation, regulations and standards.
The control unit has a CE designation in accordance
with the EMC Directive and the Low Voltage Directive.
