compatible w ith D SM2 t ransmitters.
Lemon D SM2 r eceivers w ill w ork w ith e ither a D SM2 t ransmitter o r a D SMX
transmitter o perating o n D SM2. M ost S pektrum D SMX t ransmitters w ork i n b oth
modes a nd w ill a utomatically d etect a D SM2 r eceiver a t b ind t ime. I f y ou
experience d ifficulty g etting a D SM2 r eceiver t o b ind w ith a D SMX t ransmitter,
try t he o ption t o f orce t he t ransmitter i nto D SM2 m ode i f a vailable.
Binding
Binding i s t he p rocess o f " locking" t he r eceiver t o i ts o wn t ransmitter s o t hat i t
ignores a ny o thers i n t he a rea. B inding i s t he f irst s tep i n s etting u p a ny r eceiver.
Ensure t he t ransmitter a nd r eceiver a re s eparated b y a t l east 6 f t/2m o r t he
transmitter m ay " swamp" t he r eceiver. I n s ome c ases i t m ay b e n ecessary t o
have 1 0ft/3m o r m ore s eparation t o a chieve b inding. G enerally y ou s hould o nly
need t o b ind o nce a nd, a fter b inding, n ormal l ink-­‐up s hould n ot r equire m ore
than a c ouple o f f eet o f s eparation.
Step 1 . P ower u p t he r eceiver i n b ind m ode
For m ost r eceivers: p ut t he b ind p lug o n t o t he b ind p ins. F or 6 channel U ltra
Light a nd M icro L ight r eceivers, p ress a nd h old i n t he b ind b utton.
Connect a s uitable p ower s ource t o t he r eceiver t hrottle s ervo p ins. T his c an b e:
• a r eceiver p ack b attery; o r
• a s tand-­‐alone B EC; o r
• the t hrottle c onnection f rom y our s peed c ontroller ( ESC) w ith i nbuilt B EC
(if t he E SC i s i n a m odel, d isconnect t he m otor o r r emove t he p ropeller).
The r ed L ED o n t he r eceiver w ill f lash r apidly t o i ndicate b ind m ode. I f i t d oesn't,
you h ave a p roblem ( such a s r eversed p ower c onnector). M ake s ure i t i s f lashing
before g oing a ny f urther.

button/switch w hile p owering u p. O thers r equire g oing i nto a m enu t o e nable
bind m ode.
