Reamer
1. Remove cap from the front shaft.
2. Install reamer onto the shaft with the M6 grubscrew.

Machine Inspection
Warning: Before each use.
1. Make sure the machine is unplugged and the ON/OFF rocker switch is
set to the OFF position.
2. Inspect the cutting edges of the cutter wheel and reamer blade for wear
and/or damage. Replace if necessary.
3. Inspect the power cord and plug for damage. If the plug has been
modifi ed, is missing the grounding prong or if the cord is damaged, do
not use the machine until the cord and/or plug has been replaced.
4. Clean dirt and debris from the rollers. Rollers must be kept clean to
insure proper machine performance.
5. Inspect machine for any broken, missing, misaligned or binding parts
as well as any other conditions which may affect the safe and normal
operation of the machine. If any of these conditions are present, do not
use the machine until any problem has been repaired.
6. Lubricate machine if necessary according the Maintenance Instructions.
7. Use cutter wheels and accessories that are designed for your machine
and meet the needs of your application. The correct parts and
accessories allow you to do the job successfully and safely. Accessories
designed for use with other equipment may be hazardous when used
with this machine.
8. Clean any oil, grease or dirt from all handles and controls. This reduces
the risk of injury due to a tool or control slipping from your grip.
Machine set-up
1. Place the machine on a fl at, level bench. Bolt the machine to the bench
using the mounting holes located at the rear of the unit.Failure to place
the machine on a stable bench may result in tipping and serious injury.

2. If workpiece extends more than four (4) feet beyond the machine, use
one or more pipe stands to prevent the tube falling.
3. Plug the machine into the electrical outlet.
Operating Instructions
Warning: Do not wear gloves or loose clothing when operating
machine. Keep sleeves and jackets buttoned. Always wear eye
protection to protect eyes from dirt and other foreign objects. Keep
fi ngers and hands away from the reamer and rollers. Reduce the risk of
entanglement and being cut. Properly support long lengths of tubing.
Use RIDGID pipe supports for lengths of tube greater than 1.2 m.
Cutting Tube
1. Mark the tubing at the desired length.
Caution: Do not cut visibly bent tubing. Cutting tubing that is bent will
result in excessive vibration.
2. Raise cutter handle of the machine to its maximum height to provide
clearance for the tubing (Figure 3).
3. Place the tubing on the rollers so that the cutting mark is located under
the cutter wheel.
4. Assume the correct operating position in order to maintain proper
balance and control of the unit.
• Stand facing the cutter handle and drive rolls.
• Be sure you have convenient access to the ON/OFF switch.
• Keep hands and fi ngers away from reamer.
