6.2.6 DUMPING THE NON-VOLATILE MEMORY IN A FILE ON A PC
This function allows backup of antenna assignments by band and antenna names, as
well as all user tuneups from the non-volatile memories of the tuner and amplifier in a
computer file. The tuner data will pass through the amplifier and be available at its seri-
al (RS232) port to a computer. Please use the "ACOM Terminal S" software, distributed
by ACOM free of charge, for the dump. Downloaded backup files can be stored and
used later to restore tuning settings and antenna assignments / names you made for
various antenna configurations (S. 6.2.7).
The ACOM04AT tuning-memory DUMP/LOAD procedures
are initiated ONLY from the amplifier "ATU Service" menu
and NOT from the "ACOM Terminal S" program – fig. 6-1.
Do not use the "Firmware Update" button for tuning mem-
ory DUMP as the AMPLIFIER Firmware Update procedure
will be initiated instead – see the amplifier manual.
Do NOT change the order of the steps in the following pro-
cedures.
The ACOM 04AT tuning memory dump file generation and download procedure is per-
formed as follows:
a) Turn OFF the amplifier. Connect a serial interface cable between the amplifier
rear-panel RS232 connector and the PC. See the amplifier manual for details on serial
cable connection.
