Troubleshooting

• Before calling a service technician, please check the following table for a possible cause of the symptom and some
solutions.

control sensor in the TV.
• The remote control batteries may be dead. Replace them with new
ones.
• Check that the TV/VCR/DVD switch on the remote control is
properly set.
• The plasma display panel is manufactured using an extremely high
level of precision technology, however, sometimes some pixels of the
screen may be missing picture elements or have luminous spots. This
is not a sign of a malfunction.
• Never allow a still picture to be displayed for an extended period, as
this can cause a permanent after-image to remain on the screen.
• Examples of still picture include logos, video games, computer
images displayed in 14:9 or 4:3 mode.
• If you switch the TV on at 0°C and under, wait until the display
warms up.
