    Using the V-CHIP feature You can use the V-Chip feature to block certain programs or channels, to prevent others from viewing them. Selecting a PIN code Before you can block programs or channels, you must select a personal identification number(PIN)code. Your PIN code allows you to access the V-Chip menu, and prevents others from changing the rating and blocking limits you set.

    Blocking programs by ratings The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) uses a rating system to qualify motion picture content. Television broadcasters employ a similar rating system to qualify the content of television programs. The TV and MPAA ratings work with the V-Chip feature to allow you to block access to programs that exceed the rating limits you set.
