Electrical connection

The rangehood must only be connected
to a properly installed AC 230 V ~ 50 Hz
earthed socket.
The electrical installation must be in
compliance with current local and
national safety regulations.
For extra safety, it is advisable to
protect the appliance with a suitable
residual current device (RCD) with a trip
current of 30 mA.
Connection via a socket is
recommended as it facilitates customer
service (according to VDE 0701). The
socket should be easily accessible after
the appliance has been installed.
If the socket is no longer accessible
after installation, an additional means of
disconnection must be provided for all
poles. Suitable means of disconnection
include switches with an all-pole
contact gap of at least 3 mm.
These include isolator switches, fuses
and relays (EN 60335).
The relevant connection data can be
found on the data plate (see "Service").
Ensure that this data matches the
voltage and frequency of your
household mains supply.
