    Hardware Connections 1. The Required Connection section above shows the connections that are required to make the scale operate:  The power cord will connect to the port labeled DC Power.  The data communication cord will connect to the port labeled Scanner I/F. 2.
  • Page 3 4. Connect the end (pictured left) to the underside of the scanner/scale in the port marked Scanner I/F. 5. Plug the other end of the serial data cable into the available serial port labeled COM1 on your computer. Note: This device will only work while connected to COM1 of your computer.
  • Page 4 7. Connect the other end to a power wall outlet. 8. Connect the cable end (pictured left) from the power supply into the port marked DC Power on the scanner/scale. 9. If you have the optional pole display for the scale plug the end (pictured left) into the Remote Scale Display port.

  • Page 13 CRE Configuration 1. Select Setup and then Setup Screen. 2. Select the Hardware tab then select Page 1, under Weight Scale Primary: 3. Select COM1 (this is the port that the scanner/scale is connected to). Many systems have labels on the ports that contain this information.

    Usage Guide After logging into CRE you can place the item on the scale select the W button. Select the tare amount you would like to be included with this item (if any). The weight of the item will then be entered into the Quantity box.
  • Page 28 The item will then be added to the invoice. The price of the item will be calculated based on the weight that was calculated and the price of the item entered in inventory maintenance. If the option Auto-Weigh was enabled in Inventory Maintenance then you can place the item on the scale and then scan the barcode for it without pressing the W button.
