PREPARATIONS

Inserting/Replacing Batteries

Rechargeable or alkaline batteries are
suitable for use to power your locator.
Do not replace the batteries under wet or
rainy conditions. This may allow water to
enter the battery compartment.
Always replace all alkaline batteries at the
same time. Only use batteries from one
brand and with identical capacity.
Remove the batteries from the locator when
not using it for extended periods. When stor-
ing for extended periods, the batteries can
corrode and discharge themselves.

Sensitivity Control Buttons

The sensitivity or depth range can be varied

will increment or decrement the sensitivity
to the next level and will be re ected in the
bar graph.
For example, pressing

level. The bar graph will display an addi-

To Re move/Replace Batteries:
Unscr ew the thumb screw on the battery
cover and lift the cover off until the tab at
the rear of the cover clears the slot it is
located in.
Remove the batteries by raising the bat-
teries at the contact point of each pair.
Insert new batteries, observing the polarity
labels located inside the battery well.
Reinstall the cover in the reverse manner,
tightening the thumb screw on the battery
cover.

The locator will remember and return to
the last sensitivity level selected the next
time it is powered ON. The optimal setting
is determined by the user for each particu-
lar application.

Volume Control Buttons

The volume can be varied using the
7 and
9 buttons, while observing the

Pressing either button will increment or
decrement the volume by one level.
