    Warning Be sure to use a power cable of the specified type. Using any other power cable could result in electric shock or fire. Do not use a damaged power cable. It could cause electric shock or fire. Installation / Assembly 7.
  • Page 7 When adding a take-up system to your printer, these media guides will need to be removed. Figure 7 10. Install one of the accessory tying bands to the position shown below. This tying band is for fastening the power cable so that it will not interfere with the roll media. To release the tying band, simply press its lever. See Figure 8.

    Figure 19 Notice Store the roller protective sheet, head fixing plate, and screws. They can be reused if you ever need to transport the printer. Connecting Cables 1. Before connecting cables, close the front cover, turn the media fixing knob to its locked position, then check to make sure the waste ink valve is locked.

  • Page 19 Take-Up Unit Assembly 1. Place the rail on the front side of the stand. Attach the rail fixing plate from the bottom. Using the attached hexagonal wrench, tighten the hexagonal screw. See Figure 30. Figure 30 2. Make sure that bottom of the screws of driving unit and driven unit are into the groove, then slide the unit. Embed them so that the driving unit is on the right side and the driven unit is on the left side when seen from the front.
