Enjoying surround sound

DOLBY DIGITAL

Play a DVD encoded with Dolby Digital.
" DIGITAL" appears on the tuner/amplifier.
To down-mix Dolby Digital (5.1ch) signals to 2 chan-
nels
Press [SHIFT] [MIX 2CH].
To cancel
Press [SHIFT] [MIX 2CH] again.
C Speaker level adjustments
Remote control only
If the level of the speakers appears to be different while listening to a
source, adjust the levels of the speakers to the same apparent level.
Press [SHIFT] [TEST] to output a test signal.
A test signal is output from the speakers in the following order.
Lch: Front left speaker
Cch: Center speaker
Rch: Front right speaker
RSch: Right surround speaker
LSch: Left surround speaker
(No signal is output for the subwoofer.)
Press [VOLUME ( or )] to set the volume level of the front
speakers normally used for enjoying the source.
While the speaker to be adjusted is outputting a signal
Press [ ] (to increase the level) or [ ] (to decrease the level).
The level of the speaker changes.
Repeat step as desired.
To stop the test signal
Press [SHIFT] + [TEST] again.
To adjust the levels during play
Press [CH SELECT] to select the speaker.
Each time you press the button:
Lch>Cch>Rch>RSch>LSch>SWch

Press [ ] or [ ] to adjust the level.
Repeat steps and as desired.
