Loading the Batteries

When handling batteries, please carefully read "
z
the batteries)" and "
on page 3-4 of this manual.
Do not load the batteries backwards. Doing so may bend the spring
z
electrodes, causing damage.
Be careful not to let moisture onto the inner side of the battery chamber
z
cover or into the chamber. If there is moisture, make sure to remove it
and adequately dry it off before changing batteries.
Battery Life (Continuous Use)
Size-AA alkaline batteries*
* Alkaline battery usage times can vary greatly depending on the brand.
AA-size nickel metal hydride batteries (Ni-MH) can also be used.

Open the cover.
Open the battery chamber cover.

Insert the battery.
Load the two batteries in the correct
z
+ and – orientation as shown in the
illustration on the battery chamber
cover. Once the batteries have been
placed inside, firmly close the battery
chamber cover.

Check that the lamp lights.
Press the Image Stabilizer button or
z
POWERD IS button and check that
the lamp lights (please continue to
hold the button for more than one
second).
