Fasten the window / door contact in the upper
third of the window / door frame on the opposite
side of the hinge (see fig. 4 and „5.2.2 Adhesive
strip mounting" on page 35).
The distance between the window / door
casement and window / door frame in closed
state has to be at least 15 mm to enable installation
of the window / door contact (see fig. 4+5). If the
distance between the window / door casement
and the window / door frame is too small, the
device cannot be mounted.
The ideal distance between the housing edge of
the window / door contact (in mounted
condition) and the inside of the window / door
casement should be 2-3 mm (see fig. 4+5).
In order to detect a tilted window, the window /
door contact must be mounted in the upper part
of the window.
For poorly reflecting surfaces (e.g. dark window
frames) the supplied reflecting sticker has to be
fixed to the inner edge of the window / door
casement on the opposite of the infra-red sensor
of the window / door contact.
