1. Important information

Please read this manual completely and attentively before
using the product for the first time. Keep this manual. It is part
of the product.

1.1 Safety instructions

Caution:
Magnets are no toys. Especially magnets with a low caliper
can easily break or splinter! You should, therefore, avoid any
uncontrolled collision of two magnets as well as any outward
impact or pressure load.
1.2 Using the product for its correct purpose
This product is intended:
-
For installation in model train locomotives.
-
For operation in dry rooms only.
Using the product for any other purpose is not approved
and is considered inappropriate. The manufacturer is not
responsible for any damage resulting from the improper use
of this product.
1.3 Checking the package contents

2. Introduction
The locomotive magnets item 6841 are to be used with switching
contacts (e. g. item 6840) and allow the triggering of switching
operations by the running train. Thanks to their low height, these
locomotive magnets are also suitable for locomotives with limited
chassis clearance.
3. Mounting
When fastening the magnets with glue, make sure that the
mounting spot is clean and grease-free. Please note that the
full glueing effect sets in after 1 – 2 hours only.
4. Operation
When operating a train with locomotive magnets and switch-
ing contacts you have to make sure that the vehicle does not
come to a full standstill on top of such a magnet. The perma-
nent contact could lead to the charring of electromagnetic drive
inductors.
The distance between switching contact and magnet has to be
between 2 and 5 mm. This is necessary to ensure a sufficient
magnetic effect without magnetization of the track system
(Märklin C-track). In case of insufficient magnetic effect, 2
magnets can be mounted in series.
Please refer to the corresponding manual for further
information on operation with switching contacts.
Subject to change without prior notice. No liability for
mistakes and printing errors.
