Supplementary to fig. 5
➤ Turn on the ignition while the driver's door is open.
➤ Disconnect the plug connection from the control module.
➤ Hold the red/black cable to earth.
➤ Perform the following steps within a maximum of 5 s:
– Reconnect the plug connection to the control module.
– Remove the red/black cable from earth.
– Hold the red/black cable to earth.
– Remove the red/black cable from earth.
✓ The status LED will light up continuously.
A search for the vehicle type takes place.

A: Flashing rapidly: the vehicle type is not recognised
➤ Check whether:
– the red/black cable is correctly connected.
– the CAN bus cables are correctly connected.
– the vehicle type is included in the vehicle list.
➤ Repeat the automatic vehicle recognition.
B: Flashing less rapidly: prompt to press a button on the remote
control

Only perform this procedure on vehicles for which pressing the
remote control is required (see enclosed vehicle list).
➤ Switch the ignition off.
➤ Press the open button on the remote control.
➤ Switch on the ignition again within 1 min.
✓ A search for the vehicle type takes place.
