NTRODUCTION 2.1 P RODUCT ESCRIPTION The BOREAS C6 CUBE snow machine is a carefully designed super quiet artificial snow machine with a working noise of just 65db from 10-meter distance. The BOREAS C6 CUBE is suitable for all places that need to simulate the effect of falling snow. Designed to sit on a surface or hang up in the air, the hanging bracket can be used as a support to adjust the angle of snow when the machine is placed flat. The BOREAS C6 CUBE has multi-functions like an adjustable timer, fan speed and no-fluid protection. With the included wireless control, DMX control, no. The magic of gentle falling snow is greatly enhanced with the quiet motor sound, perfect for performances or low noise situations where low sound is important. 2.2 Q UICK TART UIDE Add snowmaking fluid to fluid container. Only use Froggy’s Fog snow fluid! Other fluids can cause damage to the machine! Plug the machine in to a grounded outlet Turn the Power Switch On Wait for Wireless setup to complete. LCD read out will say “Ready to Make Snow” On remote, push the “on” button to start. If no fluid is flowing through the machine, the pump may need to be “primed”. Turn volume setting up to 100% until snowflakes are forming, then reduce to desired output volume. To turn off machine push the “off” button on the remote. 2.3 BOREAS CUBE TORAGE Before storing the system, FLUSH any remaining snowmaking fluid from the snowmaker. Unscrew the cap from the fluid container and insert into a cup of distilled water. Turn on the machine and let run until no more snowflakes are being produced (about 3-5 minutes). You can then turn off and unplug your BOREAS C6 CUBE for storage. Failure to flush the machine after use will result in damage to the pump and can break the machine voiding the warranty. CAUTION: NEVER LET THE MACHINE OPERATE WITHOUT FLUID OR WATER RUNNING THROUGH THE SYSTEM. Notes: If the machine has not been used for more than 15 days, please refill with distilled water rather than the snow fluid and operate the machine for several minutes. By doing so, the pump can work normally.
PERATION 3.1 LCD ONTROL ANEL LCD controller only works when DMX control is disconnected. All functions are unavailable except DMX channel setting when DMX is connected. Four Buttons of LCD control: "MENU”: Press to Change Menu Screen/Options "UP": Increase/ “TIMER” "DOWN": Decrease/ “VOLUME” "ENTER": Enter/Exit/Stop Press “MENU” button, there are 10 screens/options: “Ready to Snow” - Indicates the machine is ready to operate "Manual Volume Snow Output" - Setting of the snowflake output under VOLUME mode (the range is from 1% to 100%) "Manual Volume Fan Speed" - Setting of fan volume (the range is from 1% to 100%) "Timer Interval" - When using Timer Function, Length of time between snowmaking sessions (the range is from 5 to 600 seconds) "Timer Duration" - When using Timer Function, Length of time to actively make snow (the range is from 5 to 300 seconds) "Timer Snow Volume" - When using Timer Function, setting of the snowflake volume output under the TIMER mode (the range is from 1% to 100%) "DMX512 Address" - Setting of DMX channel "Fluid Sensor" - Setting of no-fluid protection, press ENTER button to save after choosing ON/OFF setting "Wireless Set" - Setting of the wireless remote control, press ENTER button to save after choosing ON/OFF setting "Remember Timer Settings" - If this is ON, when user turns off the machine and powers on gain, it will conduct the timer mode directly. After setting, press ENTER button to save. Notes: Under any setting pages, press STOP to exit or return to the first screen.
There are two DMX control channels, as follows: Channel 1: Control the fan speed, DMX value 0-5 No Function (OFF), 6-255 Fan speed 1-100%. Channel 2: Control the snow output, DMX value 0-5 No Function (OFF), 6-255 snow output 1-100%. Notes: Under DMX control, if channel 1 is “OFF” while channel 2 is “ON”, then the fan speed would be the minimum speed. 3.3 W IRELESS REMOTE UNCTION Wireless remote control can work over 164 feet. This function is available once the machine is connected, powered on and the DMX control is shut off. Remote controller has two buttons, the left one for starting snowflake output, the right one for stopping snowflake output. The same machine can be matched with up to five controllers with different frequency channels. By doing so, each machine can be controlled independently without effects from other remote controllers. Instruction as follows: 3.3.1 The pairing of the wireless remote After the machine is powered on when the wireless remote function is on (Page “Wireless Set” shows “ON”), the LCD displays “Wireless Setup” (wireless remote paring) page, then the remote control can be paired. Press any button of wireless remote (last for 1s at least), the display page will flash twice showing the paring of remote controller is done successfully. The same machine can be paired with five controllers with different frequency channels at most. If user pair the sixth one, then the memory for the first one will be erased. If the machine has been paired with five controllers during the last use, and user pair it with another new remote in next time’s use, it would only recognize the new remote rather than the previous five. For example: If one machine matches three remote controllers. During 15s after the machine is powered on, the LCD display shows “Wireless Set”, press any buttons on the three remotes respectively within 15s. The display page will flash twice showing the match of remote controller being matched successfully, or it needs to rematch. If one wireless remote controls two or more machines. Power on two machines simultaneously, LCD display screens will show “Wireless Set”, press any button on the remote till the display pages flash twice. 3.3.2 Operation under remote control Press ON button to run the unit or OFF button to stop it. Under remote control, the snowflake volume output is based on the value of “Manual Volume Snow Out” setting. For example, if the volume setting is 1% set under “Manual Volume Snow Out” page, then it will be 1% when controlled by wireless remote. If it is 100 % volume output under “Manual Volume Snow Out” page, it will be 100% accordingly under remote control Note: When paring the wireless remote, keep pressing the “ON” button till the display page flashes twice. By doing this, remotes are matched successfully.
3.4.2 How to release “no-fluid protection” When the machine is has stopped under the “no-fluid” safeguard, after refilling the fluid, there are three ways to release the safety measure. Keep pressing the “ENTER” button. Under this mode, the pump works at the maximum output, meanwhile the inside sensor keeps detecting the fluid status. The machine would exit no-fluid protection after l0s until the pump is filled with fluid. Under the DMX control, first push the slider of channel 2 to the value zero (Snow output OFF), then push the slider up to value above 5 (Snow output ON). In this case, the pump also works at the maximum output until the tube is filled with fluid and the unit exits no-fluid protection mode. If within 10s there is still no fluid in the tube, it would enter no-fluid protection mode again. To release the low fluid protection function successfully, please repeat the above operation until the LCD display does not show “NO Fluid” Under no-fluid protection mode, press “MENU” button, the page will change to "Fluid Sensor" page. The machine would exit no- fluid protection and work again by setting “OFF.” Notes: This function only operates under “Fluid Sensor On” mode. If “Fluid Sensor Off”, it does not work. - 7 -...
