Changing the playback range (folder/playlist/album)
You can change the playback range. The Walkman plays tracks by folder as a default.
Hold down the button (

Each time you hold down the button (
will change in the following order.
[Folder Mode] – [Playlist Mode] – [Album Mode] – [Folder Mode]...
To switch to the next playback range, wait until the voice guidance ends.
Folder Mode
The Walkman plays tracks by folder. Folders are groups of tracks that you can view in Windows Explorer or Mac
Finder.
Playlist Mode
The Walkman plays tracks by playlist. Create playlists using software (such as Music Center for PC or iTunes)
in order to play tracks in your desired order. If you have not transferred any playlists, you cannot select this
range.
Album Mode
The Walkman plays tracks by album. Albums are groups of tracks that are organized based on album
information.
Note
You cannot change the playback range during playback in the Headphone mode.
