1-5. Modifying VA-163 Board
The following are not supplied with the unit. Get them ready.
Description
Res, chip, metal 3.3 kZ
Res, chip, metal 15 kZ
Res, chip, metal 0 Z
1. Remove the VA-163 plug-in board from the camera.
2. Solder and short-circuit between the base and emitter of Q212, Q312 and Q412 respectively.
3. Desolder the following thirteen conponents.
R204, R220, R228, R305, R320, R328, R404, R420, R428
C40, C207, C307, C407
4. Solder a 3.3 kZ metal film resistor at the traces of R228, R328 and R428 respectively.
5. Solder a 15 kZ metal film resistor at the traces of R204, R305 and R404 respectively.
6. Solder a 0 Z metal film resistor as R493 at the trace of C40.
7. Place the supplied A label onto the VA-163 board panel as shown in the figure.
8. Perform adjustment in Section 2-2-7 or 2-3-8 "5 MHz Modulation Adjustment."
