    APR500 functions. Please see the other APR500 manuals for general information about the APR500. For the Barcode-Version of the APR500 the connector at the top of the reader is not available. Hence it is not possible to connect an external antenna or an RS232 cable. The only wired interface that can be used is USB via the contacts on the bottom of the reader.

    In order to configure this function, the Hotkey-Mode needs to be changed first. As always ,this can be done for Hotkey In the main screen of the APR500 you should see “Assign ? Save” now for the configured Hotkey (here: Hotkey A).

    After the Barcode has be read, the previous assignment will be overwritten with the new one. Using the Barcode Scanner in the Task-Mode The Task-Mode for the APR500 is another operating mode which is completely independent from the Classic-Mode and its data collection possibilities. It allows the collection of quite complex datasets.

For this reason the Reader Electronic may only be repaired by authorized customer service personnel.
