The device has a digital compass that works similar to a magnetic compass.
Metal objects, magnetic fields and electronic devices (e.g. tablet / smartphone) can
cause errors in directional readings. Non-magnetic metals and alloys do not affect the
compass readings.
Observe the minimum safe distances shown above when making azimuth
