This could cause an accident, which could injure you or other persons. If you would like to operate the Heart Rate Watch, stop the vehicle or let a passenger perform settings.

    Safety instructions Risk of damage! Do not place any object on the Heart Rate Watch and do not apply pressure to the display. Otherwise the display could break. Do not contact the display with angular object to avoid damages. If the display breaks you may risk injuries. The Heart Rate Watch contains a rechargeable battery.
  • Page 14 Safety instructions Do not overcharge the rechargeable battery. Connecting a charged or partially charged rechargeable battery several times may overcharge it and damage the cells. Do not leave the rechargeable battery connected to the charger for several days. Never open the housing of the Heart Rate Watch; it does not contain any part requiring maintenance.

  • Page 18 Safety instructions Do not push the buttons if the Heart Rate Watch is wet. Water may penetrate the housing through the buttons and damage the clock- work. Keep in mind that salt and thermal water could cause metal parts to corrode.

Subjecting the pulse watch to substantial changes in temperature, e.g. while sunbathing followed by a jump in cooler water, could cause condensation to form in the watch casing.

If you are not cautious when opening the packaging with a sharp knife or other pointed object, you may damage the Heart Rate Watch. Be careful when opening the package.

    Basic settings Remove the charger cable from the Heart Rate Watch. BASIC SETTINGS If no button is pressed for longer than a minute whilst selecting your settings, the display will return to the time display. All set- tings changed before this will be saved. Determining the max. heart rate To determine your maximum heart rate you must enter your year of birth in the basic settings (see previous chapter “basic settings”).

If the LED-display turns red, this means the heart rate zone has dropped below the lower limit, exceeded the upper limit, or exceeded the max heart rate.

  • Page 43 Workout-Mode Workout Place the Heart Rate Watch on your wrist (ideally behind the wrist bone) and fasten the strap. The strap should not be too tight nor too loose. You should fasten it as not to cause any pain but as to make sure it cannot be lost.

To access informative records about your calorie consumption and fat burning, it is important to correctly enter your weight in the basic settings (see chapter “basic settings”). The distance is calculated by multiplying the set stride length, number of steps travelled and the step frequency.

    Power saving mode When the countdown reaches the last 10 minutes, a brief alarm will sound every minute. When the countdown reaches the last minute, an alarm will sound every 10 seconds. When the countdown reaches the last 5 seconds, an alarm will sound every second. When the count- down reaches 00:00, an alarm will sound for 30 seconds.

Frequent use of the display light reduces the battery life. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE Risk of damage! Water or other liquids that have penetrated the housing may damage the Heart Rate Watch.
