The following section explains how to clean the air filter on the side of the projector.
The air filter prevents dust and dirt from entering the interior of the projector.
If the message "Check the air filter for dirt." is displayed, check the air filter for dirt or dust, and
use the following procedure to clean off any dirt or dust.
・ Either of the following may occur if the air filter is clogged and the interior of the projector
overheats due to inadequate air circulation. If this is the case, clean the air filter.
"Temperature Error" was displayed, and
the projector turned off during operation.
The lamp turned off during operation.
1. Unplug the power cable from the wall outlet.
2. With the intake vent cover attached to the projector, use a vacuum cleaner over the
cover to remove any dust or dirt collected on the air filter.
Do not use a vacuum cleaner to clean the air filter with the intake vent cover
removed.
If dirt or dust remains on it cleaned with a vacuum cleaner, follow the procedure below to
wash the cover with water.
3. Open the intake vent cover by pushing the tab at
the top of the cover.
4. Remove the intake vent cover from the projector
and wash the cover with water.
After washing the intake vent cover with
water, make sure to dry it completely
before reinstalling it back in the projector.
Do not wash the air filter with water.
