Information
Before using this product for the first
time read this guide completly and
attentively. This product must only
be used as required in this manual.
Using the Product for its
correct Purpose
This model is intended
– for installation in model railroad
layouts according to this manual
– for operation with an authorized
model railroad transformer or a con-
trol system connected to one
– exclusively in dry areas.
Using the product for any other pur-
pose is not approved and is consi-
dered incorrect. The manufacturer
cannot be held responsible for any
damage resulting from the improper
use of this product.
Operating Voltage
The power supply should be be-
tween 14 and 16 V AC or DC.
Make sure that the power sup-
ply is switched off when you
mount the device and connect
the wires!
The power sources must be
protected to prevent the risk of
burning wires. Only use VDE/
EN tested special model train
transformers for the power
supply!
2. Introduction
The fire engine has functional front
and rear lights, indicator lights and
flashing lights. The lights are driven
by an internal controller.
3. Mounting
You can place the model anywhere
on your model railway.
Drill a hole (Ø 3 mm) in the base-
board and lead the connecting ca-
ble through.
Electrical Connection
AC:
Connect the brown and the yellow
cables to the AC output of a trans-
former (e.g. Viessmann 5200).
DC:
Connect the brown cable to the po-
sitive pole of the transformer.
Connect the yellow cable to the ne-
gative pole of the transformer.
Option:
To switch the lights on and off, we
recommend the Viessmann univer-
sal on-off switch 5550 (circuit dia-
gram see fig. 1).
