    S Alteration or modification of any part of the blender, including the use of any part or parts that are not genuine authorised Vitamix parts, may cause fire, electric shock or injury and may void your warranty.
  • Page 3 The 2-litre /64 oz. Tall Container tampers are approx. 32 cm/12-½ in. long. with Extended Use. • The 1.4-litre (48 oz.) and 0.9-litre (32 oz.) Container tampers are approx. 25 cm/9-¾ in. long. DO NOT touch. • 32 cm/12-½ in. non-step tampers must not be used with any Vitamix container.
  • Page 4 o n t r o l a n e l On/Off (l)/(O) Switch: The On/Off Switch (or Power Switch) is located on the right-hand side of the machine. The On/Off Switch controls the power to the machine. BEFORE moving the On/Off Switch to the On (I) position, make sure that the marker on the Variable-Speed Dial is pointed at the Stop Symbol ( ) at the top of the dial.

    p e r at i n g n S t r u c t i o n S CAUTION To Avoid Possible Burns, Never Start on Speeds Above 1 when Processing Hot Liquids. Always start on Variable 1, then slowly increase to 10. Escaping steam, splashes or contents may cause burns.
  • Page 6 S h o ot i n g Your Vitamix motor is designed to protect itself from overheating. If the blender will not start immediately, the motor has overheated. Allow the motor to cool for 20-45 minutes before beginning another blending cycle.
