    Getting started with the TI-Nspire™ handheld Using the documentation This documentation covers both the TI-Nspire™ handheld and the TI-Nspire™ CAS handheld. While they operate identically in many ways, there are a few distinctions. Where the operation of the TI-Nspire™ CAS handheld is different, you will see this pointed out, with the CAS operation described.

You can open the Scratchpad application, do your calculation, and then discard it or save the contents of the Scratchpad to the current document or a new document.

    Resetting the memory Caution: Before you reset all memory, consider restoring sufficient available memory by deleting only selected data. If you reset all memory, the pre-installed apps on your handheld will remain, but any apps that have been downloaded in TI-84 mode will be deleted. To reset all memory on the handheld, follow these steps.
