6. Move the entire system from the patient's room to storage.

Replacing the Air Filter

CAUTION
Filter replacement should be scheduled every nine weeks or 1,500 hours.
NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 4.1.
NOTE: Check the air filter every month for build-up of dust/dirt. If build-up is visible, replace and
clean the dirty filter.
NOTE: The filter can be cleaned/replaced without moving the bed. Regular servicing will ensure
that the blower operates at maximum power.
1. Ensure that the power unit is off.
2. Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet.
3. Remove the power unit from the bed end.
4. Locate the air filter on the rear of the control unit behind the bed hooks.
5. Open the air filter door by rotating it counterclockwise.
6. Remove the air filter element and discard it.
7. Install a new air filter element.
8. Close and secure the air filter door by rotating it clockwise.
9. Replace the power unit on the bed end.
10. Connect the power cord to the wall outlet.
