FP-DI-330
8-Channel, Universal Discrete
Input Module
These operating instructions describe the installation, features, and
characteristics of the FP-DI-330. For details on configuring and
accessing the FP-DI-330 over a network, refer to the user manual
for the particular FieldPoint network module you are using with
the FP-DI-330.
Features
The FP-DI-330 is a FieldPoint discrete input module with the
following features:
Eight discrete input channels
Universal inputs work with any voltage from 5 V TTL level up
to 250 VDC/VAC
Compatible with sourcing, sinking, or power sensing
applications
On/Off LED indicators
Hot plug and play operation
3,000 V input to output isolation
Double insulated for 250 V safe working voltage
–40 to +70 °C operation
Installation
The FP-DI-330 mounts on a FieldPoint terminal base (FP-TB-xx)
unit. The hot plug and play operation of the FP-DI-330 allows you
to install it onto a powered terminal base without disturbing

    Sensing AC Voltages The FP-DI-330 senses a wide range of AC signals by registering a constant ON state while an AC voltage is present at an input. The threshold level for AC signals depends on the frequency of the signal. For sinusoidal signals with a frequency of 50 or 60 Hz, a signal of at least 15 Vrms results in a constant ON state.
