Set up your Origin
Home Phone service
Skip this step if you didn't order
an Origin Home Phone service.
Connect one end of your grey telephone
cable into the grey Phone1 port on your
Origin Home Gateway and the other end
into your telephone handset.

Porting your existing phone number to
Origin?
If you've asked us to port your existing
phone number to an Origin Home Phone
service, please allow up to 10 days
after your nbn™ service is active for this
porting process to complete. We'll send
you an email to confirm when it is ready
to use.

Connecting
via WiFi
Your unique WiFi network name (SSID)
and WiFi password will be sent to you
via email and SMS when your service is
active.
1. Make sure that WiFi is enabled on your
computer, tablet, smartphone or other
WiFi device.
2. View the list of available WiFi networks
on your device.
3. Select the network shown in your email
or SMS. It will look similar to:
XXX-XXXXXX-ORIGIN5GHZ or
XXX-XXXXXX-ORIGIN
The X's will be unique to your Gateway.
4. Enter the WiFi password exactly as
shown in the email or SMS sent to you.
We recommend that you use the
faster 5GHz network.
Your 2.4 GHz network (the non-5G SSID)
has slower speeds but greater range.
If you are experiencing issues in some
areas of your house, or are using an older
device that can only see this network, try
using this one.
