  • Page 4 2-Preset load/save Therapsid can hold 99 presets in its EPROM. 2-1 Load Press the up/down bu]ons to scroll through the presets. Preset number appears on the display. 2-2 Save You can store the current sound to any preset slot: 1: Press both preset up and down bu]ons simultaneously acDvate save mode. 2: The desDnaDon slot number will flash, press preset up or down to choose a desDnaDon slot.

    3- Voice SecDon Therapsid’s 3 voices are laid out across the top half of the control panel. The 3 voice strips are idenDcal in funcDonality, explained from le` to right: 3-1 Waveforms Each voice each consists of 4 waveforms: Square,Triangle,Sawtooth and Noise. Press the corresponding bu]on to enable or disable a waveform (indicated by LED).
  • Page 6 3-5 Paraphonic Mode You can acDvate paraphonic ( 3 voice) mode at any Dme by holding a waveform bu]on on voice 1 for 4 seconds. The LED displays PA indicaDng Paraphonic mode. Voices 2 and 3 and now mirror the parameters of voice 1 but can also be changed individually.
  • Page 7 3-8 Volume Envelopes ADSR The "a]ack" and "decay" of a sound have a great effect on the instrument's sonic character. ADSR envelope is specified using four parameters: • AIack 9me is the Dme taken for iniDal run-up of level from nil to peak, beginning when the key is first pressed.

    4- Filter The SID chips are equipped with a mulDmode resonant filter.     5- LFO ModulaDon Therapsid has 3 LFOs to bring your synth to life! Note: the LFO values are also sent as midi CCs so you can modulate other synths with therapSid 5-1 LFO Waveforms There are 4 LFO shapes to choose from: Square, Triangle, Saw, Noise and Env3 (ADSR envelope of voice 3).

  • Page 12 7- MIDI TherapSid can transmit and receive MIDI. A li]le dot at the right of the first LED digit indicates incoming MIDI, a dot at the right of the second LED digit indicates outgoing MIDI 7- 1 MIDI Channel SelecDon TherapSid can receive and send MIDI on the channel of your choice.
  • Page 13 7- 3 MIDI Preset Management You can transfer all presets to and from a computer via MIDI System Exclusive (SYSEX) transfers. This is handy to back up or share your presets with fellow TherapSid owners. To transmit (dump) SYSEX: Hold Preset Down during startup. The SYSEX is automaDcally sent out of the MIDI port.

  • Page 17 8 - Firmware updaDng Therapsid supports firmware updates via MIDI system exclusive messages (sysex). The firmware version is displayed for 1 second on the 7segment led display during startup.   • Page 19 10 SID Access and ConfiguraDon Ensure that therapSid is powered OFF. Unscrew the 4 screws and remove the trap door to access the SID chip(s). Each chip has 3 se{ng jumpers.
