Selecting a stereo
or bilingual

program

You can enjoy stereo sound or bilingual
programs of MTS stereo system.
Press MTS repeatedly until
you receive the sound you
want.
The on-screen display
changes to show the
selected sound. When the
unit receives a stereo
program, the STANDBY/
STEREO/WAKE UP
indicator lights up.
When receiving an MTS program

MTS stereo
Choose To
STEREO listen to stereo sound while a stereo broadcast is
received
SAP listen to bilingual programs
The sound of non-SAP programs will be muted when
SAP is selected.
MONO select mono reception (Use to reduce noise during
stereo broadcast)
Tip
You can also select a type of MTS stereo system using the menu (see
"Changing other PRESET menu options" on page 30).
