Problem Determination Procedures

To avoid a shock hazard, do not connect or disconnect any cables
or perform installation, maintenance, or reconfiguration of this
product during an electrical storm.

To avoid shock hazard:
• The power cord must be connected to a properly wired and
grounded receptacle.
Any equipment to which this product will be attached must
also be connected to properly wired receptacles.
See Section 5 for national language safety notices.

The problem determination procedures (PDP) in this section test
the 3270 Card in a personal computer with an Intel 8088 bus.
Procedures
1. Make sure that the diagnostic diskette is in drive A before
setting the system unit power to on.
2. Did the power-on self-test (POST) complete without errors?
No
Continue at step 4 on page 18.
Yes
Continue at step 3 on page 18.
