Typ ing is convenient and easy on your typewriter
because its gradual slope places all keys w ithin
comfortable reach of the home row. The con-
toured keys fit your f ingers, making typing
more comfortable.

On/Off Control (ON/OFF)
The on/ off control (ON/OFF) is located on the
bottom right side of t he keyboard.
To switch t he typew riter on, press the top part of
the cont rol (ON). The red portion of the control
appears when the typewriter is on.
Warn ing: Keep hair, fingers, and personal obj ects
(such as bracelets, necklaces, neckt ies) out of the
printing and ribbon area when t he typewriter is on.
To prevent long hair, f ingers, and personal arti cles
from getting caug ht o n t he rotating shaft in the
machine, you sh ould comply w ith th is warning and
ensure that other persons do also.
