Most
users
are
familiar with
the concept
of
scientific notation. Basically
it
is
a
method
used
to represent extremely large or extremely
small numbers.
A number
in scientific notation
has
two
parts; the number itself followed by
a power
of l0
which
designates
where
the
decimal
point
should be.
A
positive
power,
such as
l0n
means
the decimal point is to
be
moved
n
places
to
the right;a
negative power
indicates that the decimal
point
is
to
be
moved
r.t places
to
