Audio player

Your P800 has mobile music in the form of an stereo audio
player. With the audio player you can listen to single music
tracks or entire folders with tracks. You can download tracks to
your P800 from a PC, the Internet or Memory Stick Duo, and
create different folders with tracks. Your P800 supports a
number of different sound files, including the popular MP3
format. See "Technical data" on page 188 for more information
on supported file types.
You can store sound files both internally and externally. You can
also copy them between the internal memory and the Memory
Stick Duo. See "Folders" on page 32.
When you receive a phone call while listening, you will hear a
beep sound mixed with the music, the music sound level will
decrease, and the incoming call screen will display on top of the
audio player. When you end the call, the screen will return to the
play view.
TipTo listen to more music you can store music on several
Memory Stick Duos and carry them with you.

Playing sound files

Though you start to play music in flip open, you can still listen
to MP3 files when you close the flip. To stop the music, you
must open the flip and the Audio player.
To adjust the volume
• Rotate the Jog Dial up to increase the volume, and down to
decrease the volume. You can only adjust the volume in
track-folder view.
WarningThe volume may be uncomfortably loud at the higher
volume levels if the phone is close to your ear, or if you are using
the stereo headset. Exposure to excessive volume levels may
damage hearing.
