Preparing and Using the Remote
Programming Other Infrared
(IR) Codes (USER IR setting)
Use the USER IR CODE SETTING menu to programme
any IR codes that could not be programmed in
"Registering Audio/Video Equipment". These can
include codes for audio and video equipment, as well
as other types of equipment, made by almost any
manufacturer. The following procedure lets you to
programme up to 20 USER IR codes.

Click A B C D to select a user IR code page, then

Spell out a name for the IR code by clicking each
character in order. The name is stored
automatically.

To switch between upper and lower case letters
Click CAPS.
If you make a mistake
Click ? or / to move the cursor to the character to be
changed, then click the correct character (or click the
space bar to erase the character).

After entering the name, click RETURN to go back
to the USER IR CODE SETTING menu.
Repeat steps 3 through 5 until you enter the
names of all the IR codes you want to programme.

Click the name of the first IR code.
Before going to step 7, cover the IR sensor on the
respective equipment to prevent accidental
operation during the programming procedure.

Click on START.
When "PUSH YOUR COMMANDER" appears on
the TV screen, press the button you want to
programme.
When programming the IR code, point the remote
at the IR sensor on the amplifier from a distance
no greater than 10 cm (4 inches) and hold down
the button on the remote for about 5 seconds until

the instruction "RELEASE YOUR

COMMANDER" appears and the IR code setting

indicator turns off.
