HDD protected from drop
shocks
An HDD damping system featuring a newly
developed shock absorbing material
protects the HDD against falls from as high

The unit is also equipped with a 3G sensor
to protect the internal HDD against fall
shock. The 3G sensor detects differences in
acceleration and momentarily retracts the
HDD heads when acceleration rises above a
certain level.

Integration with camcorder by
special shoe adaptor
The special shoe adaptor allows the unit to
be safely and easily installed on the
camcorder. The mounting angle is
adjustable, allowing the unit to be installed
in the most convenient way for your
shooting style.
Begins recording
instantaneously
The unit operates in tandem with the
recording and playback functions of the
XDCAM EX camcorder or recorder when
either recording device is turned on. Built-
in buffer memory allows the unit to begin
recording instantaneously, without waiting
for the HDD activation.

A Battery release button
Releases the battery pack. Keep this button
pressed and slide out to remove the battery
pack.
B Battery slot
Mount the battery pack here.
C BATTERY indicator
Flashes at 1-second intervals when
remaining battery capacity is low. Flashes
at 0.5-second intervals when remaining
battery capacity declines further to the point
where the unit cannot operate.
