Recording without
overwriting existing
material
If you wish to avoid overwriting the
current contents of an MD, do the
following procedure. All new material
will then be recorded from the end of the
current contents.
MENU/ENTER
1
While the recorder is stopped, press
MENU/ENTER.

Press SELECT >/. repeatedly
until "R-Posi" flashes in the display,
and then press MENU/ENTER.
3
Press SELECT >/. repeatedly
until "Fr End" flashes in the display,
and then press MENU/ENTER.
To start recording over the
current contents
Select "FrHere" in step 3.
Notes
• If you start recording while the recorder is in
play-pause mode, the recording will begin
from the point at which is paused.
• The setting will remain even after the power is
turned off.

Adding track marks
automatically at
specified intervals
(Auto Time Stamp)
Use this feature to add track marks
automatically at specified intervals when
recording through the analog input
connector.
MENU/ENTER
1
While the recorder is recording or in
recording pause, press MENU/
ENTER.
2
Press SELECT >/. repeatedly
until "TimeMK" flashes in the
display, and then press MENU/
ENTER.
3
Press SELECT >/. repeatedly
until the desired time interval flashes
in the display.
Select one of the following intervals.
Display
Time
OFF
5 min
Approx. 5 min.
10 min
Approx. 10 min.
15 min
Approx. 15 min.

Press MENU/ENTER.
To cancel Auto Time Stamp
Select "OFF" in step 3, and then press
MENU/ENTER, or stop recording.
