Preparing a Power
Source
Use only the following batteries for your
player.
Rechargeable battery
Charge the rechargeable battery (not supplied)
before using it for the first time or when it is
depleted. To maintain the original battery
capacity longer, charge the battery only
when it is completely depleted ("Low
Battery" appears on the display).
• NH-7WMAA (not supplied)
Dry Battery
Be sure to remove the AC power adaptor
when using the dry battery. Replace the
battery with new one when the battery is
depleted.
• LR6 (size AA) alkaline battery
(not supplied)

Squeeze the OPEN switch from both
sides to open the lid of your player.

Press
Insert the battery by matching the
 to the diagram in the battery
compartment and close the lid until
it clicks into place.
Insert the
 end first.
Connect the AC power adaptor to
the DC IN 3V jack of your player and
an AC outlet. Press
start charging .
The player charges the battery. "Charging"
flashes and the OPERATION lamp
lights up on the player, and the indicator
sections of (battery) light up on
the display in succession as charging
progresses.

When the battery is completely charged,
the OPERATION lamp goes off and
"Charging" disappears.
